On holiday but I could have written the match report yesterday. Generally sh*t. Mandatory 20 odd points conceded. Joey a waste of space. McDona!d still a liability. Injuries galore. Most disappointing and depressing season I can recall.

Yeah those comments he made after the game on sky - showed that he cared - I dont think players would be allowed to get away with it now (although too busy telling us what 'we talked about during the week') Good to hear he's still taking an interest in us. Also good to hear the comments above which I totally agree with - not forgetting he had great pace for a big bloke as well. When we signed him from Hull it was nearing the end of the 94 season and he had been named in the World team of the year. Quite a signing then. Come to think of it the next signing we made with a global reputation to match that was 28 years on when we signed.....Joey

Not disputing any of that. What I meant was that the biggest gap is / should be between us (Fev and Leigh) and the rest....

Therein lies the problem. We shouldn't be looking over our shoulder at the opposition for 2nd spot. It may be the reality of where we are but if thats the case we'll never achieve our goal this season. Ourselves and Leigh should be streets ahead of the rest given the money we must have spent.

Yep couldnt understand why he carried on against Bradford but seemed to last longer against Leigh before he started hobbling around. I'd assumed it was a dead leg and nothing serious. he did take a late knock but I thought he looked ok ?

I keep hearing about our Dads Army but I dont really agree. Maybe we could do with a couple of younger NRL props (havent we been saying that all year) but of the older players we have on our books they are a massive part of what we do well..... Of the oldest of the old (above) we have some of the very best at this level. For me its way too early to write Ford off (and if its not working for him at Rovers I'm sure its not an age thing). Kheiralla and Hall are as good as they have ever been. In many cases their ability to do big minutes (Moors / Locky) are exceptional as are most of their injury records. Koppy was outstanding last year and the start of this but looks to have been carrying a knock for a few weeks. Ferres and Cuthbertson - I dont think anyone thought that these 2 would be doing anything more than making up the numbers in case of injuries but Cuthbertson has looked very handy when he's played.
