  1. This is the ratings from a Leeds fan, looks I am confusing Sizer and Austin. Oledzki was useful and stood out for me. Richie Myler - 5: A quiet return for the fullback after three months on the sidelines. Booed by the Salford fans. David Fusitu'a - 5: Showed some decent touches but didn't get involved enough overall. Zak Hardaker - 7: A positive on a day of negatives. An assured performance, carried well and was one of the better defenders. Jack Broadbent - 4: After two good performances he was poor here, vulnerable defensively and failed to execute a simple pass for a first-half try. Ash Handley - 7: If every player was as consistent as Handley was in this Leeds team, they'd be far better off. Blake Austin - 4: Too many poor kicks, too many missed tackles. Has to do more. Kruise Leeming - 5: Playing in an unnatural position, he did what he could. Mikolaj Oledzki - 6: Did plenty of graft for his side. Brad Dwyer - 6: Has a greater impact off the bench but didn't do too bad here. Zane Tetevano - 4: Played a decent number of minutes but not having the level of influence you expect him to. Lazy defending for the Brierley try. James Bentley - 4: No doubting his effort but the number of penalties he gives away is simply too high. Cameron Smith - 6: Says a lot that he looked the most likely to put unlock the Salford defence. Made some errors but caused issues too. James Donaldson - 6: Did a very decent stint for his team. Not without fault but one of the better ones.
  2. Didn't notice him also was surprised to hear Zak played. A number of Leeds players looked unfit and somewhat over weight. Usual couple of forwards stood up well though.
  3. My biggest problem is having to re do the same modules every year without the learning changing. It just breeds apathy and the click to the end.
  4. Not convinced or that the same application was applied to both sides
  5. Salford were in control for most of the game. It almost felt as if Mr Child kept giving some very dubious pens until Leeds scored at the end. Pleased with the performance. Good to see Livett back
  6. We have a whole set of these to do every year. H & S, DSE, Fraud. Like you just go through the motions.
  7. Do you remember how upset Widnes fans were when they didn't finish bottom and were relegated. Under your system the 3rd from bottom side would be relegated, so a side maybe just missing out on the play off by an odd point would go down? There are no fair solutions to promotion and relegation when the financial gap between the leagues is so vast
  8. What was Magpie Murders like? The book is annoying full of self promotion and self aggrandisement. It put me off any more of his books
  9. Just started watching series 1, loving it. just watched the exchange episode. Great sound track. Just never got round to it before for some reason.
  10. The site of Ambrose Barlow School would be a great place. It's central Swinton, not far from Station Road, East Lancs with great transport links. That's dream land of course. At best Salford may get 5,000 fans, they will never be a 10,000 fans side. Too much else in the city.
  11. No they don't. An NRL CEO wouldn't understand the culture or the issues affecting the club. Arrogance of this statement ! They need what the other clubs have had such as Warrington, a stable rich owner willing to throw money until the club is on an even ground (not like Koukash) They need a source of income such as the sales from match day and income from other sources than RL.
  12. Personally I think it is a harder place to get to, with less there. The reality is that Sale will price us out of the AJ Bell. Moor Lane means we get to retain all the money from the match days sales.
  13. Salford have one of the lowest caps at present. They are trying to live within the budget. I seem to think the rent was 650,00 per season but I could have invented that. The insolvency was down to Marwen, when he took over the club he created a new Company and the assets and lease were in that, the old debts were in a CVA. This failed and the points were deducted.
  14. How do they pay ? or how much should they pay? the 2 aren't the same
  15. Awful back pain, can't sit, lie down or stand. The creams are good if you pick the ones that relieve swelling as well.
  16. The pack looked OK in the friendlies, but i am sure next week will show
  17. I enjoyed it, having the "Soccer Mom" explain her actions made me laugh
  18. It wouldn't have been that easy. The ground was small, the pitch wasn't 100m long. There are houses down the shed side, so not sure a 2 tier stand would have been possible, just as it isn't at Headingley. The North Stand seats weren't used that much so don't understand why you would want to create more. I believe John Wilkinson looked at the costs of a revamp and the cost was prohibitive. If the original scheme hasn't been called in and delayed by a couple of years then Salford RLFC would have owned the stadium and the revenue. The delay meant the scheme never happened.
  19. We have a hybrid, if you drive above about 40mph then it uses the petrol. It's weird adjusting to an automatic. They are more expensive but use much less petrol.
  20. Looked out the window this morning and there are 2 piles of feathers. looks like it was a dove so I assume the local Sparrowhawk visited
  21. We discovered a field mouse living in our Robin Box. Comes out every night to attack the bird feeders
  22. it was trying to meet the criteria last time meant Salford moved to AJ Bell. Other clubs didn't meet them but that wasn't an issue for them. I think no matter what Salford decide there will be some bashing going on here, often those shouting the loudest support clubs that have also had previous insolvencies, or benefited from other "deal" The current board are working hard to resolve many of the issues, there will be an academy, a woman's team. A pathfinder programme has been established and the development foundation are working with a large number of schools in Greater Manchester some of which have never played RL. It is early days but I would hope that the RL community would support this as good new rather than the usual tribal nonsense.
