  1. Don't read his books for adults they will just annoy you
  2. I enjoyed the newsroom, really interesting take on the real news of the time.
  3. What is the criteria for a supporting actor? Watch once upon a time in Hollywood last night and Brad Pitt seemed to have considerable time on screen.
  4. We have Bluet&ts in our box again this year, I have heard a knocking sound and discovered its the birds sorting their nest out.
  5. I watched that and him running round in the suit really made me laugh. I saw Fr4eddie still had the bowling action when trying to hit Paddy's windows. How the hell he did that drop over the dam though I'll never know.
  6. I record this and watch it in an evening. Such talented people well apart from Jay who adds nothing to the show at all.
  7. Seems we managed to drown a squirrel at some point. it fell into a bucket of water from all the rain and couldn't get out. Made husband dispose of the body
  8. In our house we try to guess which gimmick the "experts" will justify putting in the next round.

  10. We have just started this, wonderful, fast dialogue, well acted. Well worth watching
  11. Just finished the latest London Rivers book, Lies Sleeping. I can't read Horowitz, he is self absorbed and self promoting in his own book.
  12. Saw lots of them on a visit to Kew, but thought it would be too cold up here.
  13. We have suddenly started to see Parakeets in our garden. Never thought I'd see them in Salford
  14. Not sure Buzz came out of the film well. They made him seem socially inept
  15. Also went to see First man. I enjoyed it and had no idea just how many died to get them there.
  16. Had an odd thing happen today. Saw a Nuthatch trying to get into the bluetit nesting box, all of a sudden out flies bluetit and they fight over the box. This happened a number of times. Not seen this before, I assume they wanted to shelter from the wind.
  17. Repair Show on BBC 2. Love the skills of the people involved.
  18. My least fav. Hate the things, glad they don't appear in the north
  19. I've spent an hour or more watching a similar thing this afternoon (checked it was a Sparrowhawk, )it consumed a large portion of the pigeon and once it had eaten enough it picked up the rest and flew off. It had a dodgy eye it kept an eye on the 4 maggies and a squirrel interested in it's feast. It covered the body with its wings only when anything got too close. Got some good video of it I think
  20. No idea, possibly all the goldfinches we have. The kestrel returned again tonight sitting on top of the pole of the bird feeder about 5 feet from the conservatory where I was sat. Shame I didn't have any sort of camera handy
  21. In the last 30 mins our bird table saw a nuthatch, and woodpecker and a kestrel visiting
  22. Saw 2 Buzzards above the house today, they were locking talons and falling and spiralling down before swooping up again. Amazing to watch especially above a street in Salford.
  23. We usually do the count, couldn't get on the web site today. over the weekend we had tree creepers and a gold crest added to our usual collection of birds
  24. Only a pair? We call them the party birds as they descend in numbers when they visit our garden. At the weekend we had about 12 on a single feeder. They all snuggle up on a branch
  25. Loved that, so funny. Not sure if it was aimed at all the family
