  1. Agree with this but we had to take the promotion that we earned. If we had not gone up the Local Lads would have had a full season to adjust to the required level of Semi Professional and we could have continued adding what was required for the Championship with a decent income through the gates as many are saying sadly in West Cumbria supporters are very fickle and crowds would have been bigger for a winning team. Survival should have been the main aim this year but for whatever reasons we started the season with a squad which most of us knew meant we were in for a very disappointing and difficult season.
  2. Amazing stats for Carl Forber scoring his 100th try and after that penalty kick he is just 1 point away from 2500 points in his career. True legend
  3. Can we have the final whistle now please
  4. Cannot believe it is Saturday afternoon and we do not have a thread for this game. I know we are all feeling down but the lads certainly put in the effort at Leeds and this is where us true supporters need to really get behind them and continue the fight.
  5. We need to get back to the level of defence we showed against London and stop giving away easy yards and we may have a chance. I have not posted for a while as too much negativity being spouted which does nothing for the players who read this forum or us dedicated fans who are suffering at the moment. The lads are crossing that line week in week out in a very tough league which we all knew was going to be a difficult season and while some may not be up to this standard lets not forget they are putting their bodies on the line for us and I applaud each and every one of them for that. Lets give them all the backing we can and as they say it is not over until the fat lady sings and whatever happens come the end of the season I will be getting another season ticket and supporting the team I love,
  6. Great to get the win and hopefully that gives the lads a big boost and it is nothing less than they deserve. I was impressed with our discipline today and some of our goal line defence was unbelievable and not sure how many times London were held up over the line but it must have been double figures. Also seemed like a very good crowd today considering we are bottom of the League, zero away support and on the telly with daft O'clock kick off but well done to the club for putting the price offers and also the Fanzone which seemed to go down well.Hopefully no injuries from today and every minute Glen Riley gets on the pitch will only help him to get match fit and I think he will give us that bit of size we were looking for in the forwards. As said by many others I hope Lovell is Ok and makes a full recovery.
  7. Cameron Bell brought some absolute belters over to Cumbria as well as Peter Walsh and Stan Martin. Maybe need to tap into their local knowledge and see if they can recommend a few worth taking a punt on
  8. Do not expect us to get anything against a team that can go to Widnes and stuff them while scoring 7 tries in the process. After the last 2 games we should be on 4 points now but sadly we are not.
  9. I also think that positive news on attendance figures can help generate extra figures through the feel good factor. Look at what the Red's have done over the road by publishing figures they keep trying to top it and had over 1100 against Widnes and despite a defeat which is Sods law with such a big crowd in they are pushing for even more against Trafford by tying up with the Gary McKee Charity and also half price admission for Blue light workers. I believe they have also set up something for the visit of Warrington and all this extra income should boost the coffers and good news on crowds IMO does generate interest and help get extra people through the gate. Wonder how much of this is down to Dave Bowden
