  1. Yes, and being a Cup match, there wasn't really much time to promote it either.
  2. Looks like there might have been less than 100 at the Crusaders vs Hunslet match today... https://twitter.com/NWCrusaders/status/1497584255353950210?s=20&t=PsLPYtLKLlrotO_jBkqDyw
  3. While topics like these might be painfully boring for the average fan, like myself, govt. recognition in many countries is the be all and end all, and often is the one thing standing between RL and basic essential needs like access to fields etc. The more countries achieve this, the better off we all become as a sport as a whole.
  4. Excellent news! I will keep a keen eye on your progress! My humble opinion/adivce, having started a few teams myself over the years: don't be disheartened if you do not reach thst magic 30 number right off the bat (most likely scenario). If you can muster enough players for a 9 vs 9 match, do that. Give them a taste and some incentive to keep turning up to training. And pretty soon, I am sure you will see the numbers rise. Good luck with everything!
  5. I think that they own or run the sports bar there. Not dure how much money that generates, but is probably a decent asset to have.
  6. True. But how does the Wolfpack budget compare to the current budget ge is working with at Cornwall?
  7. Wow, must have been a lot on the camera side of the field. That is not a bad start.
  8. I cannot fault much of what he has said in that letter. 90% of what he says is literally common sense stuff, which sadly, seems to escape those running WWR. I have grave fears for League One this year. I worry that between Raiders, Cornwall and Skolars, this league will be littered with forfeits and/or blowout scorelines.
  9. Warrington: 1,600 of you and counting! We're taking our biggest away following to Leeds in 16 years! BRING. IT. ON https://twitter.com/WarringtonRLFC/status/1491821765550481416?s=20&t=HjghF8AJLAAKaAXK5nbpgA
  10. I think that is what they are saying. Players (like Rangi) did come. The challenge seems to be getting them to stick around.
  11. How many teams in the Championship are full-time? Does this play a role in which matches get chosen? Because I imagine Monday nights would be difficult for some part-timers, especially if it's an away match.
  12. I believe they will continue to make signings. I believe one thing they do have on their side, is the appeal of living in London for a few years. Which is something like a rite of passage for young Aussies. But, their team has basically hit the reset button (how many players from last season played last weekend? Genuine question, I assume not many, if any). The other teams have chemistry and continuity on their side. Same group who have been together for a few years. I do believe they will survive relegation, but I can see them finishing somewhere 10-12th.
  13. ๐—–๐—ฎ๐—น๐˜‚๐—บ ๐—š๐—ฎ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐˜€๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป๐˜€ We are delighted to announce the signing of Hooker Calum Gahan. Calum is expected to land in the UK next week having most recently played with the Norths Devils Read more here https://bit.ly/3urn94h Just seen that posted on London Broncos social media. I looked him up, he played 9 matches for Norths in Qld Cup 2021. Hopefully this will be a good signing, but they will need to find a way to use both him and Parata effectively.
  14. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_RFL_Championship_season_results Here, but they usually get added in a few days or even a week after the match. Not the place to look if you want it now, but a good resource to look back on as the season progresses.
  15. Actually, they won *their first game in 2019... https://www.bbc.com/sport/rugby-league/49074058
  16. Wow, talk about nitpicking. Welsh Magpie clearly has an agenda here. Probably a personal beef with the owner of the club.
  17. Just 3 months to go! Who else is excited? Does anyone know the exact dates of these matches? I would like to book flights and get some accommodation and match tickets sorted.
  18. They started off very active, running regular coaching clinics and training sessions in New Caledonia and Solomon Islands. But now over this last year or so, to have gone very quiet. Does anyone know what is going on with them?
