Great point; one of those as I start my high level management role I’d love to sit down with and have a chat with. In any case great recognition, great bloke.

Keighley Cougars questions
tjhrads93 replied to David Dockhouse Host's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
There was a great article on the owners on BBC regarding their plans and hopes to bring LGBTQ pride in to rugby league, it would be good I think to ask them about what the ceiling is on that, the ways they hope to bring it onwards and upwards and, even, given their lives were in the south for a period what the difference is between the north and south in that regard. -
Sorry, to add context I think that was me asking where that performance ranked in the all time greats, as in my 15 years watching it is the best. JonM then advised there were only 2 NH clubs who went to Australia and won so it is probably the best this millennium, I don’t think it was meant to disparage the Wigan performance. Should have saved the question for a separate, specialist thread, apologies!!

Exactly that. He is an inspiration whether you call him Burrow or Burrows.

Of all the reasons to start a thread about Rob Burrow, this is it?

I hope everyone is healthy and well, just on the way home after an unexpected afternoon off for team building. That means I’m currently quite drunk and hoping for city to have wrapped up beating Liverpool in good time so I can go bed. I may not be on here very much over Christmas so would like to wish everybody a Merry Christmas, if you like that sort of thing, and a really good new year. I’ve found my voice on here I think over the last 12 months, partly due to feeling more confident in my opinions on the game (somebody somewhere will agree with them regardless) and partly because for all the occasional trolling and bashing there is a real community on here, so thank you all, whether we agree or disagree, this is becoming a part of my life that I would miss if it disappeared. As a wire fan, I’m hoping that next year…. is a good one.

Live about 20 minute walk away, think I’ll head to the quays for a bite and walk over the bridge catching all or at least the majority of the womens game dependent on time taken to get into the stadium. In the stretford end, lower tier. Gutted that England aren’t there.

I think this England team has been the best to watch in my time following the game - circa 2010 and I thank them for that. I really thought we’d win that and give the Aussies a really good go but that hasn’t happened. Really disappointing performance on the day, execution and concentration were not quite there. Who knows where we will be in 3 years but it would be a travesty if we have to wait to play Australia for potentially 8 years so we need to go again. Interesting thing - and probably could do an entire thread on this - is who will still be there and, in particular, who the big men will be with 2-3 of the lads that played today and maybe Walmsley retiring by the next World Cup. Great game and hoping for another next week. Gutted. -

Number 1 for me was huge, we had a chance with no downside if it was missed. -
Are you sure England is better then Samoa?
tjhrads93 replied to Young Blood's topic in The General Rugby League Forum
That still is quite damning.
