  1. Well this thread is getting a bit too positive for this forum so we probably should. So; chuffin eck, people need to get a grip when they're saying about aussie expats, there aren't 100,000 aussie expats in London and even if there was how many of them would even want to go to a rugby league match?? That do?
  2. I was thinking of going to Everton, just waiting for payday before buying the tickets but looks like it could be sold out by then, but you know I don't actually mind if I can't go because I'll just be so happy watching the full stadium and incredible atmosphere on tv.
  3. These ticket sales are just extraordinary. Headingley sold out and only limited tickets left at Everton which has just short of a 53,000 capacity. We've got 6 months to focus on just selling tickets for Wembley. I have a feeling this series is going to be something special.
  4. Well we'll just stick them in the upper west, they'll need to be as close to God if they want to beat us!
  5. It does make you wonder but at least we actually have an excuse for not bring in a better position than just the usual, 'The RFL couldn't organise an orgy in a brothel'.
  6. So that's about 1500 either side of the away fans, that not masses more than my initial estimate of 1000, unless the club are just being cautious with the numbers they're handing out, after all they did say 'over 18,000', so that could be like 18,453 or something and then suddenly the segregation is down to 1300 either side.
  7. Well I'd hope we aren't losing 4,000. We tend to close off one block at each side of the away don't we and aren't each block about 1,000 seats each. So we will be losing 2,000 or so to segregation?
  8. Another email from the club: Saturday’s Betfred Challenge Cup Hull Derby will be see the biggest Quarter-Final attendance in the competition since 1989, and will be the club’s biggest home cup attendance since 1961! With over 18,000 tickets now sold for the match, the unmissable clash between the Black & Whites and the Robins will be the most well-attended game at this stage of the competition for some 36 years, while also being the club’s biggest home cup crowd in 64 years. The match will also see the biggest attendance at a standalone Betfred Challenge Cup fixture, outside of finals, since 2009. Fewer than 300 tickets now remain across the lower bowl of the MKM Stadium, with the only remaining grouped tickets being available in unreserved sections of the South Stand, although very limited, and West Stand blocks W11 and W12. Seats remain available in the West Stand Upper section of the ground, with over 1,000 tickets sold. Tickets remain on sale to all supporters – a reminder that tickets will go off sale at 4.00pm on Friday 4th April, with no match day ticket sales available. The Challenge Cup Quarter-Final meeting between two of sports fiercest rivals is just days away, with Hull FC welcoming the Robins to the MKM Stadium on Saturday 5th April (2.30pm kick-off). The match, which will be broadcast live on BBC One, will be the first meeting of the two sides in the competition since 1986, will be the biggest Hull Derby clash in forty years. --------- Alright, I was maybe being a bit optimistic when I was saying the other day about 21,000 odd being there seen as the club are saying over 18,000 but even so, those first couple of paragraphs are very impressive!

  10. Jesus! If that happened in this country there would be absolute uproar! There would be years of inquiries and hearings, hundreds of people would be fired, there would be mass protests in the streets, possibly even rioting over poor health and safety laws, the PM would probably have to resign, triggering a general election which would see Reform get into power, blaming the whole incident on immigrants, all the hippies would protest against the racism, there would be a civil war between the liberals and the conservatives which would last for decades before some radical section of the conservatives hijack some nuclear weapons because they're getting fed up with how long the war is taking and how much money is being spent when it could be getting used to fix potholes, the nuclear weapons would be used, wiping out most of the country. The radiation would mutate all the cats and dogs of the country into zombie pets and the RSPCA would start moaning over the treatment of animals, triggering a new inquiry into the issue and thus seeing the interim PM who has been interim for decades and not officially appointed by King George VII (because by this point Charles and William would have died of old age) because of the war also have to resign, giving a pretty pathetic speech outside 10 Downing Street while Larry the Mutant Cat sits on the doorstep licking it's privates... (Take some deep breaths Goosey...)
  11. Damn, that's very out of the blue. Mrs. Goose's favourite films are the Top Gun films so I guess she'll be watching those today. Rest in peace, Val!
  12. Just had a look down all the emails I've received from the club about the cup game. 6 days ago it was, 'over 15,000 sold!', so in the last 6 days we've potentially shifted another 5-6,000 tickets.
  13. Oh sorry mate, I wasn't paying attention, my mistake!
  14. Yeah it's gonna be incredible! I haven't been to a game yet this year, can't wait!
  15. I don't think it will sell out but could get close, if not just beat our record attendance at the MKM which is 23,004 for the 2007 derby when KR slaughtered us 42-6. Don't know about sales for the league game, I'm not as involved with the club as I used to be.
  16. Another email from Hull: Secure your ticket for the first Challenge Cup Hull Derby since 1986, as Hull FC take on Hull KR on Saturday afternoon. The match, which will be broadcast live on BBC One, will be the first meeting of the two sides in the competition since 1986, will be the biggest Hull Derby clash in forty years and the lower bowl of the stadium is closing in on being sold out. Tickets for the match in the West Stand Upper Tier remain available to all supporters, with a huge crowd expected at the game. The Challenge Cup Quarter-Final meeting between two of sports fiercest rivals is just a week away, with Hull FC welcoming the Robins to the MKM Stadium on Saturday 5th April (2.30pm kick-off). Popular areas of the ground have already sold out, whilst other parts are beginning to close in on capacity – in total, less than 500 tickets remain in the lower bowl of the MKM Stadium, including fewer than 20 in the East Stand. Seats remain available in the West Stand Family Zone, but only single seats are available in all other areas of the West Stand. Seats remain available in the West Stand Upper section of the ground, with over 1,000 tickets sold. -------------- Less than 500 left in the lower bowl and 1,000 currently sold in the upper west. So that's around 21,000 or so sold then. It's gonna be the biggest derby in years and live on BBC one. What an advert for our game!
  17. I'm watching the quiz show, The Finish Line, and there has just been a woman on who claims she's a bookworm that reads 125 books a year, however when she got a question asking which author created the character 'Jeeves' she said Neil Gaiman and didn't seem to have a clue who PG Wodehouse was.
  18. Byesexual (adj.) Being a single Goose for so long that you don't even remember what it's like to have romantic/sexual feelings.
  19. They certainly do. 420 at Beverley Town's last home game of the season. We lost 0-4...
  20. And Murphy loses 1-10! See you at the Worlds, Shaun!
  21. I've just received an email from Hull saying there are less than 800 seats remaining in the lower bowl at the MKM for the derby Challenge Cup game.
  22. Seriously though on that point, I really don't see what benefit that would be. Players use spotted balls in practice to see if they have got the correct spin, swerve or screw on the cue ball but it doesn't actually change the cue ball at all in terms of the way it runs so as long as he's practiced enough, he shouldn't need it in the competitive environment. By saying he wants a spotted ball in the match suggests he doesn't think he has practiced enough; well that's his problem not every other players'
  23. With how poorly Murphy was playing this afternoon, I think he could do with spotted pockets so he can find them.
