I am a Wigan fan but if there was only 1 game available to watch it would be Batley v Cas on a Saturday afternoon on BBC1. We see games like Leeds v Saints every week. The casual RL viewer probably doesn't know about Batley, their good old fashioned ground and that they are a decent side capable of sending Cas out. Bring back Grandstand.

We will be sending Hill out on loan, iv'e no doubt about that but Bryne? Not a chance.

Of course things will change. Wigan will be able to make better signings now. That will be good for the league. Other clubs not being bought out by a billionaire is more of a 'them' problem than a 'Wigan' problem. Most RL sides in England have just sat back since the game was invented and complained about the top clubs because they are the ones that took all the risks in a bid to become successful whilst they did nothing. If the clubs lower down the pyramid want better then they have to want to be better, not just sit there and moan about who keeps winning the trophies. Every RL side started at the same level.

Wigan were missing a host of players too but nobody ever seems to pick up on this.

Wigan bought everyone in the 80's and 90's and won everything because they are evil and the only professional club (even though they weren't) and it wasn't fair. Wigan don't bankroll an amateur side that doesn't bring the club any revenue and keeps the comp equal and they are evil. I don't work for the club either, why the hell am i not getting a wage dammit!!!! EVIL! Let's be honest here, this is just a Wigan bashing thread isn't it? Keep the envy coming boys and girls.

Every so often you can see something a mile off that is destined for failure. This is the impending failure of 2023. The illiterate ramblings in his autobiography and the way he tells his stories about law breaking as if they are the slightest bit funny tells you everything about his childish mentality. Not a cat in hells he makes a coach. It will be a 'free for all' for the Fev players next season which is a shame because i want them in SL, an expanded one ideally but no chance now.

Quite a few backhanded compliments from the Saints fans. 'Wigan played well, congrats etc etc etc' and then chucking in comments like 'Wigan scored on the back of Saints mistakes' I think a few St Helens fans need to go and watch the game back and see how they scored their try's and stop trying to find reasons as to how this super duper Melbourne Storm-esque side got beaten by also-rans like Wigan. Outplayed is the answer. Not because Saints were poor and Wigan upped their game but because you were purely and simply outplayed for the majority of the 80 mins by a side that was better on the day and is getting better by the day. The cycle is coming to an end especially with Roby retiring and Walmsley losing interest. Bar Welsby, the youth isn't all that good. Not for the top level anyway.
