  1. Jon I can honestly say I would have easily avoided the scores I may be in a minority but as long as I avoid here and certain mates messages on my phone I can easily avoid sporting scores
  2. Surely the overriding thing broadcasters want is people watching as many of their broadcasts as possible though? You are right to say that SKY have got me for RL but the fact is that I didn't watch a game this morning (or two!) because they gave away the results with no warning the night before I think it's an easy fix though!
  3. Well I can see that might be a vague reason to show the other scores but by Christ it's a thin one.... Like many RL fans I've been looking forward to watching all the games NRL style but only watched one last night and this morning as I knew the score of the other two!!! At least one missed viewing from me....probably lots of others too
  4. What on earth are you talking about Damien? We are saying give people the option to not know the score or to know the score (they choose to via thier phone not by default telly) You are advocating for only one option that people who watch one game HAVE to know the score of the others I sometimes think that you and some others on here are deliberately obtuse to get a response To answer your question....they would "not be damned" if they didn't show the scores as people can easily check themselves .....so you are completely wrong to say "damned if you do and damned if you don't"
  5. I'm sorry that is rubbish If you WANT to know the other score you can with your phone instantly If you DON'T want to know the score you have no option as it's shown on TV currently Basically I will not be watching any more than the normal 2 games a week if this is what is happening....madness
  6. Big for me Like Johnny I would have got up today a d watched at least one other game I'd taped....but I knew the result We all have instant access to the scores as we need (we had that when I was a lad in the 80s by Ceefax!) Hopefully Sky listen and drop it now all games shown
  7. I'm planning on adjusting to what they like I think and really making an effort to spend time with them. They really do appreciate time spent more than anything be it playing games/cards etc or just talking about what they like or watching some God awful kids Netflix show with them I'd say the old truism that you get out what you put in with your kids is very very true Luckily they have been brainwashed into liking watching live sport with us so we hopefully will always have that (in addition they both play football and netball competitively ) ....we are working out how to avoid the classic case of girls reaching teenage-hood and giving up sport ).....
  8. Yeah...not sure what the hell is going on....the old style was better Why has it changed ?
  9. But he did control what Parcell did next because Parcell let go of his face as soon as Sau lifts his leg up to get thim off Maybe Parcell would have let go of his face/eyes anyway.....but MAYBE not I for one would not risk my eye sight for a maybe based on a player who already has hold of me Parcell CHOSE to grab Sau's face and potentially eye gouge.....Sau did not CHOOSE the extremely dangerous position he was in Again.....not sure how much people are taking the seriousness of eye grabbing/ injuries....loss off sight is right up with head knocks and spine injuries.....players who do not CHOOSE to be put at risk of blindness have a duty of care to themselves and any risk the assaulter has is of their own making I'll put it a different way ..... Parcell face grabbed/potentially eye gouged ......he got a binning and Sau got a red What is to stop the another grub in round 2 doing it next week ...potentially making an opposition player think he is going to be blinded and so provoking the player to lash out with a fist or whatever to stop it??? And before anyone says it....there are PLENTY of grubs in SL who would
  10. A lot of people in union I know use very strong prescription anti flamms (naproxen etc).......and this is 3rd/4th team old man rugby so God knows what the ones take
  11. Exactly my thoughts above Some **** with an agenda at the Beeb thinks of a way to put a negative spin on SL opening weekend
  12. You must be watching a different video to me...he clearly has his hands on his face when Sau kicks out to defend himself from being face grabbed/potentially eye gouged Amor says as much himself. Neither commentators seems to be able to see why it's a red card and both agree with me that is was simply self defence to try and get out of a very dangerous situation I'd say both of them know more about the game than us and it's clear what they think watching the exact same video slowed down
  13. Have Salford checked if Nene plans to get his missus pregnant and renege on a SL contract again ?
  14. Thread for positive vibes and I am the first reply !!! 22 hours after posting!!! I'm excited .....great it's all back again
  15. I hate to labour a point DKW but I said 'detail' What exactly would have worked physically to stop the face grab/potential eye gouge? I mean we know for a fact what Sau did do immediately stopped the face grab/ eye gouge....but what else would have been effective so quickly? If Sau hadn't got such a quick release from his face/eye could we be talking about a serious life changing eye injury right now?
  16. Holroyd and McDonnel out will hurt Big Tom could really do with an injury light season ....like Newman he really needs it as if either get a big one again it will hurt their careers after so much previous time out Will be interesting to see how going booze free will change Bentley ......I'd assume he now has a better chance if reaching his potential physically and dare I say it mentally.....hope he doesn't completely lose the mongrel side of him though
  17. Eccles cake to lead the Southern army to a historic win and you'll all look like chumps soon
