  1. I wonder if the devaluing of the FA Cup somehow had a knock on effect to the CC in people’s minds.
  2. I don’t know why crowds are so low for cup games tbh, if I still lived up North and was a regular RL attender I’d just as happily go to a cup game as a league game, probably more so actually.
  3. Tbf it’s been happening in football since the dawn of time and hasn’t hindered them. Though yes in RL it’s bonkers.
  4. Leeds is as major a city as Toulouse, and the Rhinos are the second sport in town compared to TO’s 3rd (by. Considerable distance) with a hostile local media. I’d love to see TO, or indeed any club, become as big if not bigger than the existing clubs, but TO have a heck of a job to get anywhere near that imho.
  5. Do you really think TO can be bigger than Leeds, Wigan and Saints? Also I bet SL would give their right arm for another club as big as Hull or Hull KR.
  6. I love how you don’t round even round them up to 10, let alone 100, other than Catalans.
  7. Fine for people who live in Wigan and don’t work during ticket office opening hours.
  8. Yeah so many people I know with zero interest in rugby will go out for the six nations becaise it’s some sort of event, and then not give a toss about the game itself or even watch it. Basically going to the boozer because they know it’ll be busy and a laugh. If we had a proper international calendar we could have a small slice of that pie.
  9. Why not go the whole hog and have a six team SL, the rest are clearly worthless. In fact as soon as Leeds’ attendances drop below 10k (before the end of this season probably) they can be kicked out and Hull KR or Cas brought in; they are forward thinking clubs who unlike Leeds are growing their crowds instead of haemorrhaging them.
  10. Is that a fact, or just your assumption? Do you think London Broncos v Sheffield Eagles would draw bigger tv viewing figures that Saints v Wigan? As someone said above, the game clashed with the six nations and it was nice weather outside, I doubt if it being Wakefield instead of Leeds made much difference.
  11. Someone else with millions to pump in for no return? Good luck.
  12. It also seems odd that Wigan have waited until today to put them on sale, it’s not like the fixture was subject to change.
  13. Has anyone changed their mind one bit after reading the 27 pages of this thread?
  14. 2k is ok for them isn’t it? Especially after their woeful start to the season, and it’s on a par with Halifax Town’s attendances.
  15. If they could they’d then get grief on this forum for their ground looking empty when they only have 11k at a game.
  16. Saints v Wigan sold out already https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10166466254675475&id=324255640474&m_entstream_source=feed_mobile
  17. I love how Brisbane v Townsville is considered a derby, when some RL fans here think Lancashire to Cumbria is too far.
  18. Maybe when the French union seasons ends (if it hasn’t already) more of their fans might go if they’re starved of live sport.
  19. Who’ll be first to slag Salford off for giving away free tickets? Great initiative, I’m glad they saw a win too.
  20. Definitely after that performance, can’t have been many who thought they’d win.
