  1. Thursday night is a killer for most gates, travel for away fans and kids at school next day hit the gate. Hull brought more than most would, but 3-400 is the max imo the section most fans were in holds 500 and if you put everyone in it you would have not filled it
  2. A game in the balance - Leigh missing 2 of the spine will be the key. If McNamara slots in well then Leigh win. Or will Ipape go to 6?
  3. The pre game junior Schools match was always a big draw, and compacted the day. The 1895 should be before the final as these clubs are normally well supported
  4. There was a rumour the Rapper was seen selling his gold chains and teeth at Cash Generator
  5. Hopefully a surge when pay day comes next week, Not having Bradford and Oldham there will take off 10k
  6. My bad wording the IT and NI is deducted from Gross pay by the employer, if they've not then paid it to HMRC what have they used it for? Paying wages?
  7. Pardon my ignorance on the matter but doesnt it work something like this Players /staff get a wage packet on which tax and NI is taken and paid to HMRC. So have Salford have taken it off the players/staff knowing they will not pay it to HMRC?
  8. Games are occasions, great occasions tend to get well attended and atmosphere is a big pull in sport
  9. As long as folk don’t expect distractions to appease personal desires for detail at this stage. A bland say nothing the review is underway and this is whose involved would be more than plenty. I am sure the folk that really matter know the detail of what’s going on and at this stage that mustn’t be the “fans”
  10. There’s a few should be’s and look to’s in that statement - so I agree with something is needed and personally be happy with it’s underway and the team are in place headed by Wood. Although I thought that had been done.
  11. There is no comms vacuum except that in some folks heads. Most adults understand that a review has no conclusions until the end - And no point speculating half way through. Your maths is great btw Fans/sponsors/owners probably put in £50m a season
  12. Leigh have already sold in excess of 2500 for the trip to Cats in June. Cats tours alone have 18 coaches booked for the beer run. Gate7 and 8, plus Nord, standing and 50% of Sud allocated with just 100 or so left in Sud, and many bought from Cats before extra sections given
  13. All commercial business's are measured on financial results - the rest is a long way second
  14. How can it improve when the seasons started - it was the weak leadership prior to the season that is the problem
  15. Fans on hereFans are waiting to see what comes next, they realise constantly putting the sport down doesn’t help it. The entire bad press is down to the handling of the Salford fiasco. The positives are huge so far, tweaks required to VR etc but crowds viewing figures ownership Ashes sales etc all positive Perception is King
  16. Garbage, it is your opinion. I was at a RL function last night and nobody had that opinion in a room of 200 mainly sponsors/business owners. The opinion seemed to be that the previous board were weak and not fit for purpose, they were not concerned at all about this “governance” you keep spouting about and as wealth creators they understand change takes time, must not be rushed and that it’s better to say nowt until the time is right. A few fans? On here putting little in and expecting a lot in return are not representative of growing crowds and viewing figures which are factual. For avoidance of doubt the RFL is legal with 1 director and getting the right board should not be rushed - what’s the old saying “ act in haste repent at leisure” or something like that
  17. You have no option post coup as I understand it, we must fulfil Sky and fixture commitments. It seems HMRC will shut them down, if that happens the RFL should run the “new”club to meet commitments this season and then let them rebuild on reality with a fan base that hopefully stays with them.
  18. Relegation is not a bad thing if you have a supporter base, and I also recall that Leigh wouldn’t have gone down if TO weren’t exempt that season, but if my Aunt had etc eh Imo the then RFL board allowed the crazy situation to get to the season opening, despite the history of debt and the refusal to cut clothe. My opinion is they allowed players to be paid before HMRC, it seems we have had Salford taking Tax and NI off salaries and not paying HMRC whilst the sport throws money at them because they had now no choice as the season is underway . Throwing them out in November bringing the 13th team in and taking away the relegation threat was the action needed imo but weak leadership is never a winner
  19. There are many assumptions you seem to be presenting as facts in that post, a few imo would ensure folk don’t think it’s anymore than an opinion - totally wrong one imo btw
  20. The failing of the RFL was incompetence, complete not fit for purpose jobsworths who couldn’t smell bull droppings from roses. Allowed the season to start when it was too late to kick them out because they swallowed the garbage
