Big gamble by Fev that didn't pay off!!! These players just weren't good enough to justify the money going out which has ultimately left the club in financial trouble after failing to reach the goal of SL. MK played on one leg at Fev and pretty much pinched a wage and god knows why they brought Chisholm back. Some really bad decision making behind the scenes, let's hope those who made these terrible financial decisions take some accountability and leave with MC. Fresh start needed, even if that means starting from the bottom again.

Reynolds looked frustrated today with the lack of support and positional play from his backs. Our forwards are lacking too but that will hopefully improve with the introduction of Yei, Albert & Bussey. On paper we look like a competitive championship side but that first half today was awful to watch, we then left ourselves with too much to do in the second half. That pitch was terrible but Batley seemed to play the conditions better. I don't think we can blame the ref either, first 20 he did give Batley everything but after that Fev should've taken their chances when we were also gifted good field position. Did Reynolds have his boots on the correct feet today?? He spooned a few kicks ha.

Davies is a very good impact player from the bench too, so still some good options there then. Reading between the lines it seems BE isn't in the coaches immediate plans, so can't blame him wanting regular game time.

I meant moving forwards. We do seem to have a quality starting 13 but who's there to step up if things go wrong when our normal injury curse hits? I guess we've been spoilt at the start of previous seasons with the announcements of several big names but then again these so called big names have failed us, so maybe it is the right way to go?! Us fans have suffered our fair share of disappointment over the past few years, so it'd be nice to hear some good news for a change. I'm just craving an exciting signing and I just don't know if it'll happen this year.

Will MC pull something out of the bag or are we living off scraps in 2024. All the years I've waited to get Wakey back in the same league and we won't even compete with them, sorry to say it but it looks like a frustrating season ahead. Wakey will get 70 in that first fixture
