Union also has a wider profile than league at the domestic level as well both at professional levels and grassroots levels.

Last I read was either born in Australia or resided in either NSW or Queensland before 13th birthday.

Hopefully they won’t change the eligibility rules for origin allowing both NSW and Queensland to select any useful players from New Caledonia and Vanuatu etc.

Absolutely but in the late 80’s and a good part of the 90’s RL was king in west Cumbria even compared to football.
