So was it all worth it?

Recommended Posts

I have enjoyed the format, it has created extra drama and interest and given the best of the Championship teams chances to prove themselves against Super League opposition. The system rewards consistency rather than the ability to conserve your playing resources till the business end of the season. So for the likes of Hull, Warrington and Catalans whilst every minute may not have mattered in 2015, they have been reminded that next season they will need to bring their best game if they wish to claim play-off spots. To me it is irrelevant that no Championship side got promoted this time around- Bradford were a couple of debatable decisions away from reclaiming a Super League spot- the important thing is themselves and the other Championship teams had the opportunity to do so. It is then up to them to take the opportunity they have been offered.
