Cup Double Header this Saturday

The Big Fella’s Stadium is the place to be this Saturday for a double helping of Ladbrokes Challenge Cup action.

At 2pm the intriguing tie between Featherstone Lions, the lowest ranked team in the competition, and local rivals Castleford Lock Lane kicks off.

Both sides accounted for professional opposition in the last round with Lions defeating South Wales Scorpions at the Mill Pond whilst Lock Lane won away at Oxford. The teams were drawn together by Paul Wellens and Adrian Morley and the tie guarantees that one amateur team will progress through to the fifth round of the Challenge Cup next month.

Admission to the game is £5 adults and £3  concessions and juniors.

The action moves to the Cappers’ Bar later in the day as the Club has been given permission to stream the Rovers game with London Broncos live from 8pm.  The staging of the game in London at 8pm on a Saturday evening was not helpful to travelling fans but having tested the technology earlier this year and with the co-operation of both the Broncos and the RFL, this gives the opportunity for fans to watch the game on a day which will hopefully see both Featherstone clubs progress to the next stage of the tournament.
