Dons News
Doncaster RLFC would like to wish the best of luck to hometown hero Jamie McDonnell who faces Liborio Solis in Monte Carlo on Saturday evening. The Hatfield-based brawler will make his fifth defence of his WBA World Bantamweight title. McDonnell has regularly been seen supporting the Dons and won his first ever world title at Keepmoat Stadium when he defeated Julio Ceja at our very own Keepmoat Stadium. Were he ever to fight in front of his home crowd again, it’s a move Dons CEO Carl Hall would back. “We’ll all be cheering for him on Saturday,” he said. “He’s live in Monte Carlo defending his world title. We wish him all the best. He’s pretty laid back but we all know what he can do. “I’m sure he’ll put a nice show on for us and get the job done. We’re all still dreaming of him having another world title fight down at the Keepmoat – he deserves it!” View the full article
