2018 Reserves Programme Confirmed

Keighley Cougars can today confirm our full reserves programme for the 2018 season.

The Rugby Football League have today published the 2018 Reserves Championship fixture list with 7 teams being confirmed for the competition.

The Cougars will be joined in this season’s league competition by Bradford Bulls, Halifax RL, Leigh Centurions, Wakefield Trinity and Wigan Warriors.

St Helens have also been included in the fixture list but will only be playing fixtures as and when available with Ian Talbot’s side only pencilled in for one fixture at the time of publication.

Following friendlies against Haresfinch this evening and Huddersfield Giants next Wednesday evening, Scott Lindsey’s outfit will begin their league season with the visit of Wigan Warriors to Cougar Park on Wednesday 21st February.

This will be the first of five meetings with the Warriors this year with a further three league meetings before a friendly at Cougar Park on Saturday 4th August.

Wakefield and Bradford, both new entrants to the competition this season, visit Cougar Park in Round Two and Three before another home fixture in Round Four against familiar foes in the shape of Martin Gonzalez’s Halifax.

Round Five brings a trip to the Leigh Centurions who return to the Reserves Championship after not competing in both 2016 and 2017.

The Cougars can also confirm the Reserves will meet London Skolars ‘A’ on Friday 24th August (4:30pm KO) as a part of the Friday Night Lights which will see the respective first teams clash at 7pm the evening before the 2018 Ladbrokes Challenge Cup Final.

Admission to Reserves Championship fixtures at Cougar Park will remain at the prices of £5 for Adults & £3 for Juniors with the prices dropping to £3;£1 respectively for friendlies.
