Yes the NRL has been financially mismanaged with massive admin costs of $187 million a year and the players pension fund payments havent been made by the NRL for several years WTF!!!

 

Also think that Channel Nine could be using this situation as a leverage to get a better TV rights deal.

 

NRL through the ARLC as the administration body of the game in Australia  makes annual grants to fund the grassroots game in Australia. Last year former NRL employee Shane Richardson called for the NRL to make a voluntary annual grant from the profits the NRL makes from NZ market to help to give back to grassroots game in NZ. We now know exactly why this has not occurred as the NRL has massive admin costs and debts to the players pension fund.
