An independent tribunal has tonight (Tuesday 8 September) reaffirmed yesterday’s decision by the RFL’s Match Review Panel to suspend Wigan Warriors’ Ben Flower for two matches.

The prop forward had been adjudged to have made a Grade B ‘dangerous contact’ with Hull KR’s George Lawler during last Thursday’s Betfred Super League fixture.

Flower, who pleaded ‘not guilty’ to the charge, was also fined £500.

Earlier today, Hull FC’s Ligi Sao accepted a Match Review Panel decision to issue a one-match suspension in relation to dangerous contact with Warrington Wolves’ Dec Patton.
