I have just been informed that a good friend has passed away last night my deepest condolences to all of his Family. Gordon was a great person a great player for Cumbria Rugby league and also as a coach in professional and the amateur Game. Probably many didn't know he was a exceptional match official and brilliant to be with on away games. R.I.P Gordon for ever u will be missed by your close family and the Rugby league Fraternity all over the country.

Deeply saddened by the news of Gordon’s passing, a friend and refereeing colleague, enjoyed many trips away he was great company.

A true playing professional for Town, Haven and Cumbria and a very competent coach.
