I was interested to learn that the Women are still playing 9's comps (Sunday 5th May in Warrington).

Is it something that is still being considered for the men too, at whatever level?

I very much like Jake's skeleton idea for a drafted competition outside of the normal team structure. I would like someone to try something similar here in England, but I guess it's all about the money needed to get such an event up and running.

I'm not even saying that it has to be 9's (it could be full 13's), but just the general idea of creating some other teams for a high profile event that would hopefully take the sport out of the heartlands and into the major cities and other parts of the country.

Probably just wishful thinking though. Hopefully Jake will update us on the response he received, if any.
