With five wins on the trot, the team is starting to develop a bit of momentum now.

A tough trip to Cumbria coming up though. We had plenty of problems up at Whitehaven. Barrow look a decent outfit this season.

It's the type of game we need to win if we have Top 4 aspirations.

I don't think we picked up any serious injuries at Dewsbury.

Charlie Harris didn't look out of place, Wacokecoke did ok too, so their game-time adds to squad options.

I assume Greg Eden will be available? Or is he still carrying a knock?

Hopefully Caleb Aekins' late withdrawal was nothing too serious, and he'll be back in contention.

Gaz Gale will be back after his suspension.

Disregarding Tanner, we have Lacans, Springer and Arnold out which means 20 of our 24 man squad are available.

Perhaps one or two young DR forwards and we're good to go.

An official announcement on his status from the club would be nice.

Interesting turn of events M they were quick to tell us when Ellis, Mckenzie and Ben left and now with the signing of Greg  maybe they are planning a

The evidence does point to this, but always worth bearing in mind that there may be reasons why the club doesn't want to comment on something like this eg maybe exit negotiations haven't yet been resolved.

He was the same in Coronation Street, here today, gone tomorrow!

Did anyone see him driving off in a taxi down t'lane looking back with a tear in his eye.  If so we need to look for a replacement - one who can grow a pair.  No wonder he had a groin strain with his missus calling the shots.....

I've said this before, but we usually play 6 (sometimes 5) middles each week. At the moment we have Bussey, Massey, Kamano, Addy, Albert, Roberts, plus Springer and Arnold who are both currently injured, and England and Tomlinson can fill in as middles, then we have Fishwick and Tennison who seem to be available to us when required.

At the moment Roberts can't get in the 17 despite having played okay in limited opportunities, so if we were going to add another middle it would need to be someone who'd be in our 17 rather than another fringe player, and those type of middles are in demand everywhere.

For me, although Tanner hasn't worked out for us, Kamano has really progressed to the extent he probably deserves to be in the 17 every week, so swings and roundabouts.

Kamano should 100% be in the 17 week In week out

it looked like he could be just a grafter early on but the more he’s playing when he comes off the bench he makes a lot of impact

On paper this does look a tough game, Barrow's squad is already up on the RFL website and they have three Wigan players on DR including Harvey Makin who has been playing regularly in SL for London recently, plus a Leigh loanee.

You would expect a bit of a test, but Barrows recent form hasn’t been fantastic. For me, we really need to be winning this, if we are to challenge for the top 4.

I don't think the form book means much at all in the Championship these days. A lot will depend on which version of Barrow turns up, as well as on how we play. They have had two or three heavy defeats, but they have played well and inventively on quite a few occasions too. They were 14-4 up in Toulouse last week after half an hour and if most of the 21 named are fit they will have a much stronger 17 this week.

At a glance from the RFLwebsite it looks like the 20 available mentioned above by MLP plus Fishwick on DR. Eden's in the squad but judged on what he said in his interview he might be a week or so away from playing.

I hadn't heard that. Still, with GG back Wakcokecoke is probably out. And presumably Wynne out when Eden's ready.

Curious that he's in the 21 and Farrar not, if he's not in contention.

Four wingers and two fullbacks in the named 21 man squad, but only one halfback

Indeed, but listening again to that interview from about a week ago, he did seem to say that the couple of weeks recovery period was already a week old, so perhaps he will play.

We are a bit top-heavy with outside backs at the moment, but I think that's just a reflection of what positions are available on the market.
