Rochdale Hornets forward Deane Meadows has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until at least the end of 2025

The 30-year-old becomes the third player in as many days to commit to the Hornets for the 2025 season, after the announcements of Emmerson Whittel and Luke Nelmes.

Meadows has made 18 appearances for Rochdale since joining the club from Oldham back in October.

Prior to his time at the Roughyeds, the powerful back-rower began his professional career at Swinton Lions in 2021 after joining from Shevington Sharks.

On his contract extension, Meadows said: "I’m made up to be given the opportunity to extend for another year.

"We are definitely heading in the right direction, with a great group and hopefully we can push on for the playoffs and then who knows what could happen.

"A big thank you to Andy Mazey and Gary Thornton for giving me the opportunity again in 2025."
