Jake Wardle’s memorable debut has been dampened after receiving a Grade D charge from the RFL’s Match Review Panel.
The Huddersfield centre scored two tries to cap an incredible debut as the Giants picked up a pivotal win against Widnes.
However, Wardle, the brother of Castleford’s Joe, could be set for a lengthy suspension after receiving a Dangerous Throw charge following a tackle in the 68th minute of the win.
Wardle was sin-binned for the tackle, but could now receive a 4-6 match suspension should he be found guilty.
He was the only player to be charged this week.
