Bradford Bulls announced the signing of Warrington back-rower Joe Philbin yesterday – and TotalRL understands they are set to strengthen their squad further in the next 24 hours or so.
It is understood that they have agreed a deal to bring in a hooker from a Super League club on a short-term deal – with the player in question set to potentially debut for the Bulls this weekend.
The hooker, who has fallen out of favour at his current club, has been given the opportunity to showcase his talents elsewhere in a bid to potentially impress new clubs for a longer-term arrangement.
The Bulls face a huge Championship showdown with Halifax at the weekend, and with Smith likely to hand out a debut to Philbin in that game, the unnamed hooker is also expected to be in Rohan Smith’s 19-man squad for the game.
