Halifax RLFC will have to wait another four weeks to see Simon Grix in action.
Their major off-season signing has yet to feature this season as he continues his recovery from a horrific injury suffered while at Warrington during the 2014 season.
The forward returned to training some time ago, but he has now had a further clear out of his ankle to ensure he is 100% fit on return.
That has, however, set him back for around another month.
“He’s still looking at another four weeks,” said Fax chief Richard Marshall.
“He’s had the clean out of his ankle, but he’s not too far away. He’ll be a new signing. With Ross Divorty leaving we feel we can improve our back-row, and him coming in would certainly do that, but it is going to be after Easter before we see him now.”
