It has been the league at the centre of so many positive headlines and stories already this season – and Doncaster CEO Carl Hall is hopeful both the Dons and Bradford can provide another fantastic advert for League 1 on Sunday.
The competition’s top-two lock horns at the Keepmoat on Sunday afternoon, with the Bulls and the Dons vying for top spot in the league on an afternoon when around 3,000 fans could descend upon South Yorkshire.
And Hall, who has spoke of his pride at the strength of the game outside Super League in the past, is confident the two clubs can put on another great showpiece for League 1.
“It will be a great advert,” he told TotalRL.
“They’re a good club, Bradford – and with just the crowds alone that they get, they should be back up higher in the leagues.
“I do like the club; I played there for a couple of years (in the 1990s) so I’ve got a bit of an affiliation to them. But I’m pretty sure it’ll be a cracking game and, if we can replicate what we did last week, we’ll be confident.”
And with another bumper crowd expected, Hall said: “We’re hopeful of 3,000 people turning up and, if we’re going to be realistic, anything else on top of that would be a huge bonus.”
