Hull Kingston Rovers have strengthened their options in the pack with the capture of forward Jason Chan from Huddersfield Giants on loan until the end of the season.
The Papua New Guinea international joined Chris Chester’s squad for training this morning and could make his Rovers debut in Sunday’s clash with Salford Red Devils at the KC Lightstream Stadium.
A regular in the Giants side which topped the table last year, Chan has made 15 Super League appearances for Huddersfield this season and will add plenty of power and experience to the Robins’ back row.
Speaking about the move, head coach Chris Chester said: “We are delighted to welcome Jason to the club until the end of the season and we are looking forward to seeing him pull on the Rovers shirt.
“We’ve got one or two injuries in the pack at the moment so to bring in such a quality player at this stage of the year is a real bonus for the club.
“I’d like to thank Huddersfield for their cooperation in allowing Jason to go out on loan and we are excited to have him on board.”
