Jacob Miller to miss the rest of the season

Wakefield halfback Jacob Miller will miss the remainder of the season to have shoulder surgery.

The Australian halfback wasn’t named in Trinity’s 19-man squad to face his former club Hull FC on Thursday, despite being an ever-present for the club this term.

Speaking to TotalRL, Chester confirmed that Miller would have time off to have surgery before the beginning of the off-season.

“Jacob will miss the rest of the season now,” said Chester.

“He’s needed it for a while now, but Milky insisted that he wanted to play against Catalans, so we agreed that we would let him play in that game and then get his operation sorted after that.

“He’s had a good season for us, but like a lot of the other players in the competition, he’s feeling the effects of a long year. I’m really pleased with how he’s gone for us this season.”
