Salford owner Marwan Koukash has got his wish – and the club’s appeal into their six-point deduction has been referred to an independent body.
Koukash insisted last week that in the interest of fairness and clarity, he wanted their appeal, which was lodged last week too, to be heard by Sports Resolutions, a company who deal with appeals and independent cases across a number of sports.
And he tweeted on Wednesday morning that the appeal has been referred, saying:
I had a wonderful dream last night and then I woke this morning and it is real. The appeal will be heard by sports resolution ( UK)
