Lane and Celtic slip into drop zones

DEWSBURY CELTIC and Lock Lane have both been docked two points by the Kingstone Press Cider National Conference League’s Management Group.

The clubs were sanctioned at Monday evening’s meeting after having been found guilty of fielding an ineligible player – in each case through “administrative error”.

The rulings mean that the Lane are now in the Premier Division’s relegation zone, having slipped below Egremont Rangers, while Celtic have been leapfrogged by Salford City Roosters in Division Two and are, similarly, in the bottom three.

Both clubs have also been fined £100.
