Castleford Tigers half-back Liam Finn has signed a new two-year deal with the club, ensuring he will remain with the Tigers until the end of the 2016 season.
Finn made the notoriously difficult switch from Championship rugby to Super League in the off-season, but has been one of the Tigers’ most consistent stars in their excellent start to the season. And the Ireland international is delighted that he has proved to everyone he can cope with the rigors of top level Rugby League.
“I’ve been enjoying playing Super League this season so to get the opportunity to do it for a few more years is pleasing,” he said.
“I’m chuffed to bits that I’ve managed to prove myself at this level. I thought I might be a back up and have to wait for my opportunity so it was good to get in from the start and help the side.
“The spirit is really good here and we’ve got a great camp. The players feel confident taking the field together and we all know what our role is.”
