Salford’s victory over Leigh came at a price after Reni Maitua was charged with making a Grade B dangerous throw on Jake Emmitt of Leigh Centurions.
Maitua does not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea and will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening.
The Samoan international has been impressive since signing for Salford from Featherstone last month, with the Red Devils winning their past two matches since his arrival.
