NINE players have bolstered Mike Grady’s Salford squad for their Championship opener against Oldham on Friday.
North Wales Crusaders forwards Liam Cooper and Will Tilleke have signed permanent deals, the latter without playing for the club after only joining from Widnes Vikings at the end of last season.
Rafael Van Osselaer, who was part of the old Salford Red Devils’ reserves side, has also signed whilst amateur players Reece Stanton and Matty Ross have been brought in from Wigan St Judes and Haresfinch respectively.
Meanwhile, Leigh Leopards have loaned Nathan Wilde, Oliver Polec, Ryan Brown and Will Brough ahead of the Oldham clash.
If selected, Polec, who joined Leopards from St Helens in the close season will be making his senior debut. Brough made his senior debut on loan to Midlands Hurricanes in 2025.
Brown has gained Championship experience while loaned out to Barrow Raiders with Wilde, who made his Super League debut for Leopards in 2023, also experienced at Championship level having most recently spent time at Featherstone Rovers in 2025.
