Hull KR winger Josh Mantellato has shrugged off any claims that tonight’s game against Wakefield is one the Robins should definitely win – despite the poor form of their opponents.
Since Wakefield beat Hull KR in West Yorkshire back in February, they have gone on to lose ten straight games in Super League, and are rooted to the bottom of the table.
Yet Mantellato, who returns to the KR side tonight, believes it will still be an incredibly tough test.
“I wouldn’t agree that we should win this game,” Mantellato told the Hull Daily Mail.
“With only 12 teams this season, every game is competitive. The last time we played them they put 44 points on us.
“We’re looking to get that win back and kick-start our season.
“They have had a few injuries and they should have a few players back for them. They should be lifted by that.
“The feeling in our camp is really good. We have more troops back so we are quietly confident, and after being away from home for so long, it will make a big difference.”
