Preview: Bradford Bulls v London Broncos

Bradford Bulls lost 31-30 in the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup at Dewsbury and will be looking to bounce back when they entertain London Broncos at The Provident Stadium. “We were bitterly disappointed,” said Bradford coach James Lowes. “We’re looking forward to getting back on the field.

“London will be a very, very strong challenge, they’ve got a good coach in Andrew Henderson and they’ve got some decent rugby players. We’re looking forward to a tough game.”

Centre Kris Welham and prop Rhys Lovegrove will both miss the game.

London Broncos lost at home for the first time this season, going down 48-26 at home to Featherstone Rovers in their Challenge Cup match.

Coach Andrew Henderson said: “The way we capitulated in the second half was the most disappointing thing for me because defensively we’ve been pretty good; we’ve had that attitude and willingness to work hard for each other. I just felt too often there were too many players looking for shortcuts. We gave away too many penalties and too much field position. Credit to Featherstone, they capitalised on that.

“There were a number of players who let themselves down and they’ve probably played themselves out of the team on Thursday night against Bradford.

“I had a team in mind for the Bradford game but there may be a couple of surprises. If will be a strong team that goes up there no doubt about that and it will be a strong team that faces Featherstone on Easter Monday. We need a response and I’m looking for the players to bounce back.”
