Radford admits he’s picked 16 of his cup final 17

Hull FC coach Lee Radford has revealed he knows 16 of the 17 players that will try to end the club’s Wembley hoodoo in the Challenge Cup final next weekend.

Radford’s side have one more game to play before they travel to the capital to take on Warrington, which is Thursday’s home game against fifth-placed Catalans Dragons.

And the Hull coach says that although his side have the luxury of a nine-day break between that game and the Challenge Cup final, Radford is already fairly sure on most of his side.

In fact, he has just one place left to decide upon – admitting that some of the men in contention for that place have a chance to impress on Thursday evening.

“We have got over a seven-day turnaround to Wembley from the upcoming match but I’ve probably got 16 of my team nailed down for the Challenge Cup final at the moment in my head,” Radford told the Hull Daily Mail.

“There is still one spot up for grabs and there are a few players vying for that. It’s going to be an important fixture for one or two players.”
