Salford Red Devils cruised to another decisive away victory today, defeating London Broncos 10-30 at Trailfinders Stadium in Ealing to add to the Broncos’ woes at the foot of the Super League table.
The Red Devils, aided by a superb performance by halfback Jackson Hastings, sprang into a 24-0 half-time lead with tries by Joey Lussick, Niall Evalds, Daniel Murray and Hastings, all converted by Krisnan Inu.
The Broncos indicated that they might come back into the game when winger Rhys Williams scored the first try in the second half. But they were unable to build on that score and when Lee Mossop scored their fifth try, with Inu again converting, the deficit was too much for the Broncos.
However, they did score a late second try through Matty Fleming, with Kieran Dixon adding the conversion to give the scoreline some respectability, but by then it was too little, too late.
A full report and photos from this game will feature in Monday’s edition of League Express.
