Salford Red Devils forward Gareth Hock has been hit with a seven-game ban after being found guilty of making deliberate contact with a match official.
Hock – who was banned for four matches for the same offence last season – will now miss the rest of the season unless the Red Devils make the play-offs. The offence occurred during Salford’s victory against Hull FC last Saturday, a game the Red Devils managed to win to keep their top eight hopes alive.
