Denny Solomona sent out an expletive tweet, blasting “keyboard warriors” for involving his family in the issue surrounding his departure from Castleford Tigers.
The retirement from Rugby League of the record-breaking try scorer was confirmed last week by Sale Sharks’ director of rugby Steve Diamond, signalling that a move to the rugby union club was getting closer.
However, the ongoing saga has resulted in Solomona and his fiancee, model and reality star Jess Impiazzi, receiving a number of messages on social media.
Following more alleged abuse, Solomona took to Twitter to criticise fans for bringing his family into the matter, instead telling them to send messages to him personally.
He tweeted: “Alright every f***er out here fair enough tweet me but leave my Mrs n Family out of this #KeyBoardWarriors
The tweet has since been deleted.
