Thunder sign Samoan International

Newcastle Thunder have strengthened their attacking options for the rest of the season with the signing of Samoan international Matthew Wright.
The 28-year-old, who is set to arrive on Tyneside later this month, can play numerous positions and will give Thunder extra options at fullback, wing, centre and hooker.
Auckland-born Wright, who was selected to play for the Australian Schoolboys in 2008, has been capped seven times for his country and has played over 100 games in the NRL with Cronulla Sharks, North Queensland Cowboys and Manly Sea Eagles.
“Matthew is going to add strike and competition to our outside backs,” said head coach Simon Finnigan.
“He is an experienced player who will fit in very well into our group.
