Huddersfield Giants are sweating on the fitness of Jermaine McGillvary, Leroy Cudjoe and Sam Rapira ahead of the weekend’s important Qualifiers clash with London.
Rapira is struggling with a hamstring problem and might not be risked for the clash with the Broncos, while England international Cudjoe has an ankle problem.
Meanwhile, 2015 World XIII inductee Jermaine McGillvary is also a doubt as he looks to recover from a niggle that he played through when the Giants defeated Batley last time out.
“We’re not looking too bad. We’ve got three players that are probably in doubt,” said head coach Rick Stone.
“This is a step up for us, there’s no doubt about that. If you look at London’s performances, particularly offensively, they have plenty of strike and score some points. We know we’ll have to improve defensively and start pretty well. We started well against Batley but we hadn’t done that for the few weeks before that.
“We have to have an aggressive mindset defensively and make that our priority so we can possibly force some errors from them, because they like to move the ball around and challenge you.”
