Leeds Rhinos forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan admits the Rhinos will have to be on their game when they face Wakefield on Sunday – because the Wildcats will sniff blood.
Leeds’ run of form of late has seen them win just one of their last five encounters in the league, and Jones-Buchanan is wary of the challenge posed by Wakefield on Sunday, despite their abysmal league form.
“We are getting caught up at the minute and teams like Wakefield will sniff blood,” he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
“That makes it very dangerous and they have got some very skilful players in there. They have got some grafters as well and they can turn any game into a dogfight.
“We are going to have to be very good. The only saving grace is it’s quite a big turnaround for us – eight days – so we can get a few niggles sorted out and we can get our heads around what went on last Saturday.”
