St Helens captain Jon Wilkin admits that whilst it is frustrating to miss out on Challenge Cup glory for another year, his side cannot afford to sit around and be miserable over the loss.
The Saints have an almost immediate chance to put last Sunday’s defeat to Hull right when they host Salford this weekend, in a game which could see them move into the top four if results go their way.
And in his column for the Liverpool Echo, Wilkin insists that they have to adjust their focus sharply and quickly in a bid to get back on track straight away.

“Now is not the time for sulking or over-analysis of what’s just happened,” he said.
“Don’t get me wrong; I love the Challenge Cup and desperately wanted to lead my team up the steps at Wembley to pick up the trophy. That’s been a dream of mine since I was a kid.
“But we’re out and you can’t change what’s gone.
“We’ve got to get back down to business in Super League against Salford on Friday.”
