
Whitehaven have confirmed the appointment of Gary Broadbent as their new assistant coach until the end of the season.
The former Haven captain has taken the job following the departure of former assistant Peter Williams, who was forced to leave due to work commitments.
“His contacts within the game and his respect within amateur circles will help us invaluably,” said Whitehaven Chairman Tom Todd. “We are delighted he is back at the club and we know he will once again be a fans’ favourite.”
Whitehaven are currently 11th in the Championship with three wins from eight matches, although they have games in hand on both Oldham and Swinton. Haven play one of those
