Whitehaven have completed the signings of Ugo Perez and Anthony Walker on loan deals ahead of their Summer Bash date with rivals Workington.
Perez and Walker have been drafted in from Catalans and Wakefield respectively in an attempt to stiffen up James Coyle’s pack for the latter third of the regular Championship season.
22-year-old Perez has been a key member of Catalans’ reserve side, making two appearances in the first grade, while Walker played for Wales in the 2013 World Cup and has made 10 appearances for the Wildcats since the beginning of 2015.
A club statement read: “There has been an extreme amount of paperwork and it has all been quite fraught especially tying up things with the French R.F.L. and to meet deadlines for the Summer Bash but we got there in the end.”
