Wigan Warriors win the Grand Final

It was a game that summed up their season.
Another gutsy performance saw Wigan Warriors pick up their first Grand Final triumph since 2013 with a 12-6 win over Warrington.
Trailing 6-2 at half-time following Declan Patton’s try, the Warriors stopped Ryan Atkins scoring in the corner, and minutes later drew level when Oliver Gildart scored.
Fittingly, the winning try was scored and created by outgoing players.
Gold Coast-bound Dan Sarginson kicked through, and Josh Charnley, who will play for Sale next year in rugby union, scored.
Warrington looked for a winner to no avail, sparking memorable scenes at full-time.
Monday’s League Express features a full match report, reaction from both coaches and both sets of players along with an extensive interview with Harry Sunderland Trophy recipient Liam Farrell.
