Why did the rl have you play a glut of away games back to back? Madness but always look for the results and great to see a fairly new team with a good support.

Any word on Oscar Dorans return? 3 class wingers right there looking for the 2 places

Jam v Town the Good Friday nightmare?
havenhater replied to The Voodooguru's topic in Workington Town
The best team won simple today, doran just seen those little things he does and why is he a class act and made sure it went in our favour, but reid fired us up with his carries, but also think lawther was class and always a line breaker also but leigh did he job well today also. A 50 minute performance from town today was enough but haven't shouldn't be disheartened, there is some quality in there ranks but what the heck the big who har about the score board... Haha haven utt -
As much as levi was absolutely class last season you have to remember he was in league 1 also, the he full team has stepped up this season, Leigh before his injury wasnt too bad but hasn't hit those heights since his return, big t has show glimpses of his grit but I believe they will prove there worth as the season moves on. Corkhill again has hit a bad patch as he did last season but without that competition he will remain in the place, but agree with the derby coming up we need a confident 18 or we will get beat.

Gonna have to be donaghy isnt it on the wing looking at the 21? If so confident we can do the job.

Unfortunately it was there half back and not carter dictating the game today. More like a pre season game with the players coming back from injury and position changes but it was a game which on another day Town could have won with the rub of the green and the opportunities we had put into points especially in the first half. Negative side looks like a few more injuries. Positive side, Doran back showing glimpses of why he is a unique player setting up carter, wallamsey and Ainsley got minutes and didn't do too bad and Reid put in a sublime effort.

If Leigh for sure, farree, Lupton, Reid to name a few get some game time, I don't see if it as weakening really just fine tuning Is there any official word on Leigh returning?
-
With Jake retaliating it was clearly Dwyer spotting all the yards he was making so was trying to wind him up, but that's the veterans mark isn't it as he didn't do much else. Excellent performance all round, hopefully have some of the injured guys back next week as we can't rely on Callum doing 80 minutes every week,. however class he is. Big lawther class

It was made for carter to be fair but dom, Callum and Alex tried there best to unlock holes. I also think in a number of these games what I wouldn't give for a Henson shuffle near the line, that's never been replaced since he left.

Wasn't 100% and could only be called upon if town had 2 or more HIAs

Of all the silly calls here referee made how can in one of them he calls 6 again to town for an infringement then calls knock on against town in the same segment? He was definitely Widnes best player today or maybe the linesman as they were pants also. Town were brilliant today against a team who will be up there come the end of the season, abdull for the abuse he seems to get for his shaped , placed kicks superbly and had a take in all of the Vikings trys however valid they were. Johnstone another Cumbrian who looked classy also. Callum Phillips was mom today for me, but there wasn't anyone who didn't put a shift in for town, hopeful the injuries arnt too bad, but carter, Graham, Leigh, Bradley and Stephenson to come back into the fold as well as the other lads who didn't get picked and maybe Atiga when he comes back from his holiday (dream) , this team could go places Utt

What about Braden Leigh is he far off,?

Could go 4 on the bench too if we need it and Callum could do the 80

Think there will always be an opportunity to explore the loan market if need be as we seem to have good relationships with SL teams who know we can bring there lads on.
