Stunned, shocked, saddened. RIP JK. A man who really cared about the sport and who could inspire even the lesser teams to be the very best that they could. It says much for the man that he spent so much time at Batley, even after he had been successful at SL level, responding to calls to help out when the club found itself in difficulties. Knowledgeable, funny and friendly, he will be sorely missed.

I tried to follow the match on X (Twitter) but whoever was doing the updates didn't provide much information, over half the tries were just noted as TRY..There was no indication either as to who was playing uphill/downhill. Wow, that's a good attendance at Blaydon for the Batley game

Tremendous team spirit shown by Toulouse and incredible defensive resolve to keep tackling as they did in the second half. Great fitness as well. Having said that though, Hull were really poor, lacking in ideas, predictable and lucky that Toulouse made so many basic errors. Never seen a team keep dropping the ball, knocking on etc so often and not be punished for it. Well done Toulouse!

Think we need a special one night exception from John Drake's 'Don't criticise the refs' rule. Tonight I think both the ref and video ref have been appalling. The ref has put lots on report when he should have been getting a card out and the video ref... well words fail me.

Could have been Foulstone. Unfortunately I've never seen him or Scriven play. Player looked more like a back row forward than a winger though. The London announcer just said it was Burton although it clearly wasn't

Well, maybe biased but the truth is that we could easily have conceded the 60 points you mentioned if it hadn't been for some really poor execution from the Broncos. Our wide defence (both sides) was really not very good and Fordy will hopefully have the backs practicing both their positioning and their tackling before the big game on Friday.
