  1. Dropping clubs into areas where 95% of people haven't got a clue about the sport doesn't work, it will never work unless someone pumps a phenomenal amount of money in over a long time but even then it's going to be built on sand and if that benefactor leaves there's nothing left.
  2. Just booked 4 for Everton, wasn't much choice. I hope genuine purchases rather than tout sites. Unfortunately I inadvertently exited to check my email confirmation so couldn't get tickets for Leeds.
  3. They'll keep kicking that can down the road as long as they possibly can, clinging onto the hope that the takeover is legitimate and the money will arrive. When the situation changes to the point that's not possible, they will react then. History tells us there won't be any forward planning or contingency planning going on.
  4. The aim must be to sell out before the first test kicks off. We've got months to do it, build the hype, branding around every ground in the country this season. The results of the first two tests should be irrelevant by the time it comes around. It's a conservative choice for sure.
  5. Suspend them from the competition until they are sorted. Can't expect spectators and broadcasters to be paying for joke games
  6. The other day there was an article which referenced 'Championship side Swinton Wildcats'. Some work still to do.
  7. We'll end up playing France at LSV. We all know it.
  8. It's disgraceful. Prime slot on BBC and the sport serves up a farce. Classic rugby league.
  9. Ex Swinton and Wigan forward Jordan James is a barber.
  10. This doesn't look like a logo that will last. I will be surprised if it is still in use five years from now and surely the minimum requirement for a rebrand is something that has longevity? I really liked the previous one, I understand the Manchester reference being unpopular/unnecessary but that could have been removed with a simple reworking of that badge rather than a total change. Sorry to say but this looks really poorly executed. Also having been announcing signings under the old branding the timing seems a bit odd. You've got player announcements from this week with the old logo all over them. The idea that the badge can attract fans is nonsense. People will go if the following things are in place: 1) winning team, 2) good match day experience, 3) Ticket pricing is correct. The badge is so irrelevant in attendances, I've seen people suggest this might attract younger fans but not really said why it would. I hope I'm wrong.
  11. Gambling on a win against Widnes being good enough? Risky strategy. Survival is out of their own hands now.
  12. Surely if Haven 'do a Newcastle' things proceed as planned? Haven and Dewsbury down with third bottom in the play off. You'd expect a club finishing third bottom to kick up a fuss if they are relegated without a play-off.
  13. Nobody in their right mind puts money into rugby league looking for profit.
  14. It's bizarre given it's been across several coaches for both clubs so it's not even a question of one style trumping another.
