I see Callum Walker has just pretty much lied about what Beaumont said in that clip from the sponsors lounge. What he said was, “we’ve signed players that we’ve not announced, clubs have signed players, there’s a player that’s been signed from here that’s not been announced by that club…” Walker quotes him as saying ““There’s a player that has been signed from here (Castleford) that has not been announced by the club because that’s the correct etiquette” Quite how he can say ‘here’ means Castleford, when he’s stood at the Leigh ground! Then this site runs the article with the headline “Leigh Leopards owner reveals signing of Castleford star” Awful journalism

Agree with that. And I’d hope this hasn’t been done out of pettiness, and was instead the call of Lam and Chester. There’s also a chance the recall was decided on when Hardaker made Tex Hoy look like a wrecking ball on Saturday. Just hope that it’s not because of an injury to Leutele

I suspect we’ll soon learn of another injury at Leigh, or another outgoing that means we can’t afford to have him out on loan.
-
I would’ve liked to see us keep him. But he’s not played second row since the middle of last season. Been mainly a bench prop since then, but has done a good job there. Wouldn’t be surprised if we have a few players that we’ve offered one year deals to, that get two years elsewhere.
-
Yes. The clip of Beaumont said we initially offered a one year deal, but increased it to two, but weren’t willing to match the pay and three years on offer from Hull
-
Holmes also on his way to Hull?
-
But Leigh ultimately offered him a 2 year deal

I agree that O'Brien should come back in when fit, and wouldn't feel strongly either way who plays full back or stand off when both him and Moylan are in the team. I just felt, and still do, that McNamara should stay in the team while O'Brien is out, rather than bringing McIntosh in to play full back.

You'd imagine that Hull have done their due diligence on the medical side. Asiata's injury problems go back to last season, where I'm pretty sure that he was nursed through games leading up to the cup final, and he missed games after the final with issues with both his calfs. Anyone that saw him warm up, or should I say not warm up last week will not be surprised to hear he picked up another injury. Hull must feel that it can be managed, much like Leigh did when eventually offering a two year deal. Beaumont's comments are slightly reassuring, but Lam's future really needs resolving one way or another. He himself must be getting bored of questions about it, and it becomes a distraction.

The soft underbelly of Leigh's defence was sadly back after a couple of more encouraging performances. Dwyer allowed a gap in the middle of the defensive line again, just like he did for Burgess at HKR, and somehow Hardaker allowed Hoy to run through him. Agree on Hardaker, unless his defence is up to it, then he's offering little, and you may as well replace get McIntosh into the backline in his place. On the plus side, I think Trout continues his improvement, and another game of nearly 40 tackles without any being missed for Halton. Maybe he is developing into the defensive back rower that Moylan will need on his side should he move back to stand off.

The lack of leadership is pretty irritating given how much experience is in the side, even without Asiata. Leutele forcing the play on golden point pretty much summed it up. Brain explosion from someone that should’ve been more composed. Need to learn to win without Asiata, who I suspect has played his last game for the club
